# Hiring Cost & Agency Comparison Pack

> An editable cost model, an agency proposal checklist, a guarantee comparison table and a vacancy scenario worksheet to compare hiring routes on your own numbers.

## Editable cost model

Add up what a hire really costs, including the time your own team spends. Fill in your own AED figures for each route you are considering.

- **Role:** ________ ([role title])
- **Annual or monthly salary used for fee calculations:** ________ ([AED amount] — confirm whether the agency fee is based on basic salary or total package.)
- **Weeks the role is expected to stay open:** ________ ([number of weeks] for each route.)

| Line item | How to calculate | In-house (AED) | Agency (AED) | Other route (AED) |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Job advertising | Job boards, LinkedIn, sponsored posts | | | |
| Agency fee | [fee %] × [salary basis] | | | |
| Internal recruiter or HR time | [hours] × [hourly cost] | | | |
| Hiring manager time | [hours] × [hourly cost] | | | |
| Assessments and tests | Tools, licences, external assessors | | | |
| Background and reference checks | Provider fees | | | |
| Visa, permit and medical costs | Confirm current fees with your PRO | | | |
| Onboarding | Equipment, training, induction time | | | |
| Vacancy cost | [cost per week] × [weeks open] | | | |
| Total | Sum of the lines above | | | |

Vacancy cost is the value lost while the seat is empty: missed revenue, overtime, delayed projects or work pushed onto others. Use a figure your finance team will accept.
