HubSpot vs Zoho CRM

HubSpot vs Zoho CRM for GCC sales teams — free-tier generosity and adoption speed against depth per dirham as you scale.

Zoho CRM

Our verdict

HubSpot gets adopted faster and starts free; Zoho CRM costs far less once you are past a handful of seats and need real workflow depth. Decide by whether your bottleneck is adoption or budget.

HubSpot and Zoho CRM are the two CRMs GCC sales teams most often weigh against each other. Both start free. Both can run a full sales pipeline. The difference shows as you grow: HubSpot is easier to adopt, and Zoho CRM stays cheaper as you add seats and need deeper workflows.

The right choice depends on your bottleneck. If your team has never used a CRM and the risk is that nobody will, adoption matters most. If your team already works in a CRM and you need territories, approval rules and custom processes on a fixed budget, depth per dirham matters most. This page covers prices as shown in our directory, UAE fit, and what switching involves.

How cost changes as you grow

Both CRMs start free, with different limits. HubSpot’s free CRM now covers up to 2 users. Zoho CRM’s free edition covers up to 3 users. Most growing teams eventually need paid features such as automation, reporting and sequences.

Illustrative only, at the monthly-billing entry prices shown in October 2026: 20 seats at USD 20 is about USD 400 a month on either HubSpot Sales Hub Starter or Zoho CRM Standard; billed annually it is about USD 140 on HubSpot (USD 7, which may be a promotional rate) against USD 280 on Zoho CRM (USD 14). Our directory also notes that HubSpot’s costs escalate sharply as contact volumes and seats grow, while Zoho CRM stays low at 20 seats. Price the tier you actually need on each vendor’s page, not the entry level.

Adoption versus depth

A CRM nobody updates is worse than none, because it gives managers false confidence. HubSpot’s strength is that people use it without much training. Zoho CRM is less intuitive for first-time CRM users, but it offers deep customisation, workflows and territory rules on its paid tiers.

If your sales process is simple and the team is new to CRM, start with adoption. If your process has regions, approvals or several product lines, and the team already has the CRM habit, depth will save you more over time.

UAE and GCC considerations

A CRM holds personal data about customers and prospects. Before you choose, ask each vendor where your data will be hosted and what options exist for regulated sectors such as finance or healthcare. Our directory notes that HubSpot’s data residency options should be confirmed for regulated sectors. Ask Zoho the same question for your account.

On billing, Zoho offers local billing and VAT invoices. For HubSpot, check how VAT appears on your invoice. If a vendor bills from outside the UAE and you are VAT-registered, you may need to account for VAT yourself under the reverse charge. Your accountant will know which applies.

  • Ask where data is hosted and whether you can choose a region.
  • Check Arabic support for the interface, email templates and customer-facing forms.
  • Confirm local partners or resellers for setup help.

Marketing automation

If marketing and sales need to work from one record, HubSpot is strong, but its marketing automation is priced separately. Zoho CRM includes marketing features that are less polished. Decide how much marketing automation you really need in the next year before you pay for it.

Choose HubSpot if…

  • This is your first CRM and the team is not technical.
  • You need the CRM live this week without an implementation project.
  • Marketing and sales should work from one contact record.
  • Your sales team is between 2 and 20 people.
  • You want a free CRM for a very small team while you build the habit.

Choose Zoho CRM if…

  • You have 20 or more seats on a fixed budget.
  • You need territory rules and complex workflows.
  • You already run Zoho Books, People or Recruit.
  • You want local billing and VAT invoices from the vendor.
  • Someone on the team can own configuration.

Switching between them

Moving from HubSpot to Zoho CRM, or the other way, is common as teams grow or budgets change. Contacts, companies and deals usually move through exports and imports without much trouble. What takes time is everything built on top: pipelines, automations, email templates, reports and integrations. Expect to rebuild these by hand.

Clean your data before you move it. Remove duplicates, archive dead leads and agree which fields are required. Map each pipeline stage and property in a spreadsheet first, run a test import, and check that owners, dates and activity history arrived correctly. Run both systems side by side for a short period, then switch off the old one on a fixed date so the team cannot drift back. Confirm the import tools and any migration support with the vendor.

Frequently asked questions

Will HubSpot stay free?

The free CRM tier has been stable for years, but the features most teams eventually need — automation, reporting, sequences — sit on paid tiers.

Pricing is taken from official vendor pages and dated; where a vendor does not publish list pricing we label it a custom quote, and converted AED figures are estimates. A free trial is never described as a free plan.
